until the 3rd...
On Saturday morning, we woke up early to head for Agra. Agra is a city in India about 5-hours by bus from Delhi (which is completely relative… the delays aren’t so much distance or traffic as they are terrible roads and cows) and within it’s poverty and complete lack of structure is the beautiful Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is so romantic; it is a monument to love, built by a king...

Back in Delhi!
So, this past week has been arguably one of the craziest and I doubt I can find the words for a journal entry and the moment. But I feel like I have been neglecting you, tumblr! Instead of a really good entry, then, I’ll write a brief rundown with whatever I can think of before breakfast. I stayed with the most wonderful couple in Guwahati, Loni and Debu. We Want Gorkhaland
There is something serenely beautiful about Darjeeling. There is something so unbelievable and humbling and inspiring about these mountains. I’m finding this blog is updated lastly, after I e-mail the people I love and check facebook and etc. etc. etc. Yesterday in Delhi was UNBELIEVABLE. I really feel like I got involved deeply in the mayhem of the city, and it was...

I have never witnessed such a city. Grown men shit on the streets. The lack of cleanliness is unbelievable and the streets are insane - cars don’t brake, they just honk. I took a ride in a rickshaw and it was fun but robably dangerous. I’m having a great time but it is certainly a shock to the system. Delhi has a lot of beauty to offer but it will be hard to adjust to the blatant...

NEW DELHI
After what was a really, really terrible 24-hour travel endeavor due to the lack of organization at Newark Terminal C, I’ve arrived! I can’t wait to start this adventure. It’s only 8:42am here in Delhi and I have had no shut-eye at all. I’m going to go start my day before the jet lag kicks in. More to come!
